That’s one of the counter-intuitive aspects of starting a photoblog. You tell people you have one, and many of them think it’s this self-absorbed exercise…then you start one and discover a world of people who share common goals and dreams.

Photojournalist Alex Garcia reflects on the 2 years since he launched the Assignment Chicago photoblog. It began as an experiment and it deservingly developed enough of an audience between photojournalist and amateur photographers that the site was migrated to the Chicago Tribune official website.
