Pine Cradle Lake

It's certainly not customary as I roll out of bed every morning at 6 a.m and be confronted with such a stunning morning sunrise, so over the weekend as we found ourselves in the midst of such a bucolic setting in Pennsylvania, I was overtaken by both excitement and a sense of urgency to make it to the lake as I caught glimpse of first light from our cottage window. Sunrises are absolutely tricky to photograph because light changes so quickly and with that in mind at the end of the day it was well worth having endured the bone-chilling temperature while every else in my family was sound asleep.
