1. Tell me a bit about your passion towards dancing. How did that evolve?
My passion for dance began when I was born. I began taking class when I was barely 3 years old, and I've always found dance to be my greatest form of self expression. I'm also a musician, so music has always driven me to move, and evolved more as my exposure to music expanded. Ballet, hip-hop, Latin; let's dance!
2. Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?
Opportunity is not a lengthy visitor.- Stephen Sondheim
3. What advice would you give your 20 year old self?
To My 20 Year Old Self: Time is the only non-renewable resource. NOW is what you have, and fear is a manifestation. Go. Don't wait. Make it happen. And for God's sake, hire a brilliant trainer to get you on the path to being STRONG!!
4. What have you changed your mind about in the last few years? Why?
In the last few years, I've seen the world in a new light. Not only has my knowledge of the world and human nature grown, but my newfound understanding has led me to be the best version of myself so far. I've learned to not take things too seriously, and know that everything is going to be ok. My priorities have drastically shifted from those I had in the past, and the future I see in front of me excites me.
5. What is the worst advice you see or hear being dispense with regard to fitness?
The worst advice I see/hear is when women are instructed to simply do cardio to lose weight. The only way to sculpt and change muscle is by strength training. No, you won't get bulky, you'll get more solid instead of squishy, and you'll look in the mirror and feel proud of the work you are putting into yourself!!!
