Sit down and look at f-stop, aperture, ISO, and all of those kinds of things as words you need to learn to make a sentence. Words you need to start a conversation. Once you learn all of the words – forget about everything else, and just say what -you- want to say.

The more statements I read like this, the more I’m convinced that being a photographer has always been less and less about what’s in your camera bag and more on the subject of learning about others and yourself and it’s a mistake to think that it’s about anything else. At least this is my perspective and it’s fair to say RC shares the same one and he manages to express it with such a encouraging personal story.
