Siberian Tiger at The Bronx Zoo

Regardless of how you may feel towards all those reports we see in the news about tigers attacking their trainers, you have to admit your perspective changes when you’re fortunate enough to get first hand look of this beautiful beast in the wild.

Besides its size and beauty, I was mostly struck by it’s seemingly tolerance for just begin stared at by a good wealth of spectators. The tiger was resting on a large boulder looking down at us and I managed to snap a few shots of it before it eventually sequestered itself in the makeshift jungle that served as a backdrop to the whole setting.

It took me a while but I like to think I was able to bypass the dingy glass that I felt distracted me from taking a decent photograph of this beautiful animal.
