One thing I had to learn not to do was compare myself to others. That will kill you. Stop doing that. Don’t ever do it. It will never help you. Admire the work of others. Take delight when they find success because if they found it, then you can too.

Couple days ago I linked to Zack Arias’ FormSpring account where he was responding to photography questions faster than I ever expected since I presume he’s a busy guy but now he’s moved on from that service and carried over the gist of what he was doing but with a Tumblr site perfectly entitled Ask Me Anything About Photography.

I think highly of this piece of advice he gave in answering the question of “How do you get past any negativity you may have towards your own work and get back to making great images?”
